I Bought A Pink Chanel Backpack & Broke My Subconscious Patterning

Who knew it could be so easy?! 😛

Le Poisson called me.

“What are you up to, babe?” he asked me.

“Well, my new bag from Chanel arrived… So I’m giving it a little photoshoot.”

He laughed.

“It’s so beautiful, babe. It’s a pink backpack and it fits my laptop, so it’ll be perfect to travel with!” I exclaimed.

“How much did that cost you?” he inquired.

I paused, feeling uncomfortable. I didn’t really want to answer him.

FLASHBACK. In an instant, I left the present moment. I had a sudden memory from when I was a little girl — how my mother and I loooooved to go out shopping together, and the way my mother had taught me to always downplay the cost of things to my dad whenever he asked.

“Men don’t really understand what things cost,” she had told me, “so it’s just better to lower the number and go on with your life.”

PRESENT MOMENT. The memory disappeared and I was back in my body: I’m no longer a little girl, I am a 39 year old woman, on the phone with the man of my dreams, and I am truly excited about a beautiful pink bag. And I made a conscious decision to just tell the goddamn truth.
