I got home from NYC yesterday, and a week in the city was exactly what I needed. I feel fully plugged into my source again. Praise be! New York always reminds me who I am… And so, here are some of the lessons it taught me on this trip.
💖 Being too comfortable is a form of slow death. It’s out there where it’s wild and unpredictable that you get plugged in to who you really are — not when you’re rotting on your couch.
💖 Look up. A lot. And if you live in a place where the view up is boring, move.
💖 It truly doesn’t matter what other people think about the places you love. If you love it, that’s all that matters. If they think it’s ugly, fine! Then tell them never to visit!
💖 Beauty is everywhere, but you have to have the right kind of eyes. Lazy eyes will never see the true beauty of anything.
💖 Solitude is essential for dropping into your creativity. Who do you become when you are totally alone and without pressure? It’s in these moments where you are following your whims that the truth of who you are and what you love really comes alive.
