Hello! New York was a fucking blast! Here’s what 51lbs of luggage over a long weekend looks like. (And would you believe, the only things I purchased while I was there were a handbag and an angora sweater?!)

Let me start by saying… One never knows what one is in for when packing for NYC. It’s tempting to think of all those pavements just waiting to be pounded and fill your suitcase with athleisure accordingly, but here’s the thing. New York beckons. She is spontaneous and sultry. Her magic is majestic. You never really know where you’ll end up… So I implore you to dress as your Future Self and dive deep!

Okay. I know I just disavowed you of athleisure. But do pack SOME! This black romper — clocking in at a mere $36 — turned out to be the holy grail on this trip. Even though you’ll only see one outfit featuring it in this post, I wore it multiple times: it was perfect for grabbing coffee in the morning (at Maman), for scoring gelato at midnight (at Gelateria Gentile), and for wearing between outfits, when I was collapsed on the bed, exhausted from walking 8 miles in 95 degree heat. It’s from Amazon and I promptly ordered it in pink and grey for my upcoming trip to France, because it’s the easiest thing ever to pull on and go.

I have to say, it was a major vibe pairing it with this mega Moschino handbag, a lil’ neck scarf, jumbotron sneakers, and a pair of heart-shaped sunglasses. I can absolutely see it with sandals and an oversized linen shirt, or a big t-shirt, or even dressed up with heels. We love a versatile queen, and this QUALIFIES! 10s 10s 10s across the board!
