A-MEN to all of this, sister!! My 2025: Romancing everyone even strangers, having obscene levels of integrity, creative date nights, and hard yes to less scrolling/more IRL hangs. I've never stopped being a pen-pal though, I've been keeping USPS alive. Happy New Year and stay safe, Cali!

This list is fantastic! At 40, I still don’t know what my style is so I will be taking your advice and dressing the fuck up this year! Also, the future nostalgia is so on point. I took IG, FB and TikTok off of my phone and have not looked at them since New Years Eve and it’s been so freeing! I then went to the used bookstore and bought books and actual cookbooks and it’s been the best thing ever. ❤️

I am completely down with all of the outs - alcohol, plastic clothing (plastic in general!), compulsive scrolling!

In for my 2025: Being a breath of fresh air wherever I go, adventures in nature, good sex, sky blue, and making friends with other witchy weirdos!

Also...birkins are making a comeback?!

What was the camera you said you had been using? It's like a film camera but you have to wait 24 hours to access the photos on the app?

P.S. IN: Hunter S. Topknot!!! Time to write another book....and make it weird! (Dress up, leave a false name and be legendary).

P.P.S. Agree with you on avoiding the plastic clothes! Cleaned out the last little remnants over the holidays (besides some gothy Dollskill looks because those are ABSOLUTE NECESSITIES for our future Bar Sinister visit) and it feels so good to finally be rid of that stuff.

Ohhhhhhh twist my arm! I'm excited for a new book actually. And yes the plastic clothing… no matter how good it might look in a picture online, it always feels like shit to wear!

Hi! Really wanted to leave you a comment, but you said “less scrolling” and there was a lot of it on this tiny little iPhone screen! O getting dressed up, my 86 year old mother does it every day and she looks smashing. She says “get rid of the leggings” her method is called UDO. Up, Dressed, and Out!! In any case, I truly enjoyed your post and hope to make so changes. Very inspiring!!

Just restacked about compulsive scrolling. I find that I do this in Reels when I don't want to settle down into a peaceful end of the day self care wind down. In fact, I have found myself naked, pulling out of a 30 minute squat by the side of the bed, thinking, wait, what happened? How did I get here? I also watch my teen scroll or check Tik Tok compulsively to read comments and likes on her post. The clouds are passing by overhead, scents from baked bread wafting in the neighborhood breeze, ideas of world domination ready to be tapped and they care what a collective bunch nameless people think. My best holidays have been technology free, and I LOVE them.
